A deep involvement in a creative, forward-thinking community.
The community of Lake Bluff, Illinois was named one of Chicagoland’s best places to live by Chicago Magazine, for lots of good reasons. An historic community with an upbeat character all its own, its residents are creative and forward-thinking. There’s a strong commitment to education here – in fact, Lake Bluff was recently named Smartest Town in Illinois – and its Park District has achieved statewide Distinguished Accredited Agency status. The Chamber of Commerce Shop Local campaign, for which Jill designed the logo, was one of the first of its kind, and won a national award.
Intergovernmental cooperation is commonplace in this community, so Jill dove in when approached by the Village, Park District and School District about the possibility for a fund-saving, shared tri-agency newsletter to be printed and mailed several times a year to all residents of the three governments. This project joined a list of others completed over the years for the Park District, School District, Chamber of Commerce, and Historical Society.
